Halloween Flash

Went to the London Tattoo Convention last year so I decided to do my usual tattoo flash nails. Unfortunately I didn't get time to finish them due to long work hours but these are the ones I did complete.
Decided to go for a Halloween flash theme so I have a bat, a coffin, a tooth and a spider.
Hopefully I'll be going again this year!

Let's Get Nude

Trying out my new Rimmel 'Let's Get Nude' with some basic black line designs and patterns.
Nails are looking super short here due to a lot of breakages at work at the time.
On my left hand I have lace, a kitty nose and whiskers, leopard print, hearts and a diamond.
On my right hand I have a bow, polka dots, a spotted pattern, stripes and cherry blossom.
This is definitely the best nude I've found so far which matches my skin tone.

Nautical 30th!

Nautical nails to match my outfit for my 30th birthday drinks with my girls.
I went on an amazing trip to Paris (including Disneyland) for my actual 30th but unfortunately I was a bit too busy to paint anything for the trip, so I did these after I got back.
It's been a few years since I'd done some simple nautical nails and I needed to do something quick so I went old school and did an updated version of some of my original nautical nails from 5 years previous.
Was definitely one of my best birthdays yet! 🎈🎂

"Harley Quinn, pleased to meetcha!"

I cosplayed as my favourite DC character, Harley Quinn, at London Film and Comic Con last year and to complete the outfit I had to paint the nails to match.
I wore my blackmilkclothing.com leggings and dress, made a collar and bought and styled a wig for the costume. I also wore different colour DM's and applied red and black makeup to add to the finishing touches.
Here's a pic of the final outfit:

Loved every minute of it and I hope I get to use this costume again in the future. Maybe I'll find my puddin' to dress up with me...

Sun, sea and sand

Went on a day trip to the beach last summer while the weather was nice so I painted my nails to match.
Decided to paint a beach landscape with a bucket and spade, a yacht, sandcastle, parasol and shark fin.
Luckily we didn't come across any sharks but there were plenty of sandcastles.

Villains of Gotham

Suicide Squad had just been announced and images released for the characters so I went though a bit of a Batman phase. I re-watched the Dark Knight trilogy and decided to paint some Batman villain cartoon nails.
On my left hand I have the Batman logo, Bane, the Joker, Harley Quinn and the Penguin.
On my right hand I have the Riddler, Two Face, Poison Ivy, Catwoman and Batman.
This was also the week of London Gay Pride so I added a rainbow flag to my Batman nail.

Kneller Road tea party

Last year our street decided to come together as a community and have a street party with food, drink, music, games and general merriment. It was a lovely day and it's now become an annual event.
On my left hand I have our street sign Kneller Road, a tea cup and teapot pouring tea, ice cream and a gingham picnic blanket.
On my right hand I have musical notes, butterfly wing, a cupcake, balloons and strawberries.
Here's a pic of the party and the cookies I made and decorated:

Dragon Eggs

These are some very quick Game of Thrones nails I painted to match my outfit for a https://blackmilkclothing.com pic a day challenge last year.
They match my Drogon Dragon Egg leggings and my Thrones dress. The turquoise and cream nails are Rhaegal and Viserion dragon eggs.
Here's my final outfit pic:

Birthdays in May

It would seem I'm very compatible with Taurus and Gemini as most of my closest friends have their birthdays in May. Three of which are on the 23rd (two of them being twins). So last May I decided to dedicate my nails just for them with some pastel coloured bunting and balloons.
The colours I used are a mixture of Model's Own and Barry M. Base coat is Model's Own Hyper Gel in White Light.

Off with their heads!

Perfect time to be posting these as I just went to see the new Alice Through the Looking Glass film a couple of days ago.
Painted these this time last year for a Black Milk Clothing picture challenge to match my outfit.
On my left hand I used Rimmel 60 Seconds in 842-Too Cool to Tango and painted over it to create the rabbit shapes using Barry M Gelly in 443-Elderberry. I then painted the black outline of the white rabbit on my middle nail.
On my right hand I decided to paint the playing cards as I had filed my nails to a flat edge at the time. The colours used on that hand are all Models Own.
The film was fun and full of beautiful colours and patterns which I will be painting on my nails soon...

Shmowzow! Heroes vs Villains

Last May I joined in with many other Sharkies around the globe to complete the Black Milk Clothing pic a day May challenge. I painted these to match my Adventure Time Bro Ball leggings for one of the challenges.
On my left hand I have Finn, Jake, Lumpy Space Princess, BMO and the snail. On my right hand I have Magic Man, Lemongrab, Ricardio the Heart Guy, Gunter and Ice King.
These are probably one of my favourite set of nails I've painted so far. Took a long time to get the detail right and it paid off.

Nails of Ultron

Started on these Avengers nails for the Age of Ultron premiere which was held at my then place of work, Westfield White City. Unfortunately I didn't get the time to complete them but I did manage to get a good glimpse of the entire cast at the premiere:

Easter eggs

Happy Easter!
Wanted to use some nice pastel colours (mostly Models Own) for my Easter theme last year. I also included my new Models Own speckled egg range.
On my left hand I have Happy Easter, a cracked egg, a bunny in an egg, a chocolate egg in pink foil, and a carrot.
On my right hand I have an Easter egg pattern, a chick in an egg, a hot cross bun, a daffodil and a basket of eggs.
Looking forward to all the tasty treats because that's what Easter is all about right?

Models Own Speckled Eggs

I was so excited to get my hands on the Models Own speckled egg range in time for Easter last year. I love the effect they have.
These are just some sample nails, I then created some Easter nail art with them...

A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes

After visiting the Professional Beauty London convention last year and treating myself to the Morgan Taylor Cinderella collection, I decided to use them in some Disney's Cinderella cartoon nails.
I have created the story going along my nails so this time I'm starting with my right hand. I have the evil stepmother's hair, Cinderella's first dress torn to rags, the fairy godmother's bow, the magical transformation, and the pumpkin carriage.
On my left hand I have the castle, the clock striking midnight, Lucifer the cat, the key, and Cinderella's slipper.
All of the metallic and glitter varnishes used are from the Morgan Taylor collection. Love the colours and they're perfect for capturing the magic of Cinderella.

Valar Morghulis

Season 4 is coming! Or it was at the time I painted these. Designed for the DVD release of season 4 in February last year so I had those particular characters and storylines in mind when I painted them.
On my left hand I have the raven from the front cover of the DVD, Sansa's necklace, a heart tree, Jon Snow's sword Longclaw, and Arya's coin.
On my right hand I have the Martell sigil, the Lannister sigil, the Clegane sigil, a golden harpie statue, and GOT in the Game of Thrones font.
I was also lucky enough to get my DVD signed by Carice Van Houten at London Film and Comic Con last summer:

It's now almost time for the season 5 DVD release so there'll be new GoT nails coming soon...
